The weight programme I offer has been specifically designed for people who have become disillusioned with dieting. The trouble with diets is that they require great determination and will power to succeed, especially with all that calorie or point counting, watching everything you eat and starving yourself. In addition, there’s quite a lot of sacrificing necessary when you are following a diet.  The ‘don’t eat this or that’ only leads you to failure. No-one likes being deprived of something they really like!  Look what happens when you take a toy from a child – that’s the toy the child wants more than ever. Similarly, it’s like that with food – if you are told you can’t have something then you’ll want it all the more.


Hypnotherapy can be a highly effective approach to breaking unwanted eating habits and promoting positive behavioural change. By combining the power of hypnosis with solution focused psychotherapy techniques, this approach targets the subconscious mind where habits are deeply ingrained.

The subconscious mind doesn’t know what is good or bad for you, it just focuses on what it sees, hears or what happens the most. Over time you can get into bad habits, whether eating chocolate bars, that extra piece of cake or glass of wine, when you don’t really need it. Eventually your subconscious mind will accept these behaviours as learned habits. Your subconscious mind will then encourage you to continue doing those things you do habitually.

Hypnotherapy will help you to change your mindset and replace negative behaviours with healthier eating habits. During hypnosis, we can access your subconscious mind and re-code it so you only want foods that are good for you.


My Weight Management Programme is not a diet – you can eat what you want, when you want. I will encourage you to visualise how you want to look when you reach your ideal weight and shape. This creates an image that your subconscious mind will start to work on.

I will help you to change how you think about food and your behaviours towards it. We will cover how to:

  • modify your eating habits and portion sizes
  • find the OFF button for cravings (I will teach you some great craving busters)
  • improve your food choices, encouraging you to eat healthily
  • increase your motivation to exercise


You will be given five different relaxation recordings to listen to in between the sessions (four of these will be specific to weight loss), as well as some notes to accompany all the points we have discussed each week.


I started hypnotherapy to get me through one of the hardest times of my life. Not only did Emma help me through this, she also helped me to sleep again which was a huge deal. I was so excited when I got on the scales and saw I’d lost weight for the first time in years. I also put on some jeans and a top that I haven’t been able to wear for two years so I’m feeling on top of the world. I began to structure my days better, and got back into exercising every day, having not done any for months. I’m now doing over 30,000 steps a day.
